Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries and territories with significant Chinese populations, such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, and also in Chinatowns elsewhere. In Southeast Asia, Chinese New Year is considered to be one of the most important holidays of the year. The biggest celebrations take place in Penang and Singapore. Dragon and lion dances are common during Chinese New Year.
